Thailand: Day One

Day one was exhausted. We all got together at around 7 in the morning with no sleep. Different thoughts were racing through my mind, hoping I didn't forget anything. All I wanted to crawl into my bed with my soft pillow and blanket and sleep. But with the fear of oversleeping and wanting to get use to the time over in Thailand, I decided to pull an all nighter. Some of the delegates did the same too. Even though I didn't show it, I was filled with lots of excitements and couldn't wait to get to Thailand.

We all got into the airport to check our bags in and went through security. As we all sat down and eat mcdonalds, my eyelid was getting heavy since I had no sleep. One thing I was not looking forward to was the 22 hour flight. It will be the longest flight I ever been on. Before we got onto our plane, we were asking each other where we are sitting. With disappointment, we were all seated separately.

I sat on the plane that went to ohaire, chicago airport. Since they are famous for delaying flights, I was hoping that our flight wasn't delay. Thank god it wasn't and it was on time. I finally got some sleep and I am sure the others did too.

After 2 hours, we arrived to ohaire. Some of us seemed to be more awake, so we got starbucks and chatted. Finally we got on the plane to Tokyo, Japan. Again, we all were seated separately, but some of us got to sit next to each other. I sat next to one of the delegate, Peter. Since I didn't know him well, I had the opportunity to get to know him. We chatted and play a card game called Speed.

I looked behind me when the others were siting and it looked like most of us had the opportunity to finally sleep. later, we all ate on the plane and the food was awful. I could not wait to get off and eat since I'm starving.

With little patient, I kept checking the map on the screen. The nice thing about the map was that it tells us where is plane is and how long will it be until we get to Japan. Right now I checked the map, it said we have about 35 minutes until we land. Once land, we will be boarding onto another plane and only 7 more hours until we get to Thailand.
